Get Some Money

If you have your own web site and want to collect some money from someone, say you are selling a book or a basket on your site, you should really consider using Stripe.  It’s a ridiculously easy and secure way to start accepting payments online.

I was so pleased with it that I’ve posted this tutorial to demonstrate how easy it is regardless of your web site’s underlying technology.  Also, services like Shopify make it easy for you to do it as well if you don’t want to implement it yourself.

  1. I’m not selling anything, but I’d LOVE to start accepting payments. 🙂

  2. Thanks for this, Scott. Do you suggest I switch up my “Jenn Store” page and ditch the PayPal widget and use this instead? (I’m Totally Clueless about this stuff.)

    • Hey for you, nah, just stick with what ya got…in your case, you can check out as a guest with paypal so you’re good to go. Stripe is exceedingly useful for people that have a self-hosted wordpress account or another site, but in your case, if it’s working, it’s probably good for now!
