Dogs Love To Get Sick

If you have a dog, then you can totally identify with this.

It seems to be a recurring theme in our household…the dog eating something and getting ill.

I ran across this picture I took of Nea, our dog, a while back and I just shook my head. She’s just now turning the corner on something else she ate. The kids found feathers and think it was a bird, poor thing (the bird that is, no sympathy for Nea).

  3. I can totally relate to that! We have a beagle at home. He is very good at finding dead critters as we take a walk and pick them up before we have a change to steer him away *facepalm*.

  4. Mmmmm! I was up at two o clock this morning for over an hour, watching my dog eating grass in the garden and being sick because he somehow managed to get to the cat litter and eat cat poo. He’s fine now but I’m exhausted. Bless him!!!!!!!

    • Oh, ouch, that just brings back painful memories of when our cat was still with us. It was like dog crack I think my wife used to say. It was disgusting, but sadly it’s true…well, glad he’s ok now. I can empathize.

Ha, I know the feeling. I actually did a first aid course for dogs and cats because my other dog (Kruk) is so keen to eat ANYTHING that comes near his mouth… Glad Nea feels better.

  6. Your photo captures Nea’s mood very well-we go through an episode like this it seems about every other month-mostly with Jack Henry-it definitely keeps you on your toes-
Thank you too for stopping by Little Dogs Laughed-we appreciate you looking!

  7. Oh my, I know that routine well from my own dog. Eat something they are not supposed to=feeling ill later. Glad Nea is feeling better now.

  9. LOL. Love this post, particularly the picture that says-it-all! Reminds me of this post I wrote about getting a dog before a baby. http://momsicle.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/should-you-get-a-dog-before-you-have-a-baby/ You’re living it!
