Field Trip

I’m chaperoning my daughter’s field trip today and the school requires you to get a photo taken.  You probably know the drill, you have to wear a photo badge on your shirt or jacket while attending volunteer school functions.

I knew I was getting older, I just didn’t know my face had changed so much and for the worse at that.  What a shame.

I hope she’s not embarrassed of me when I show up.

  1. LOL that is rad!

  2. Absolutely hysterical!!!

    • I’m so glad you got a kick out of it, that makes me laugh!!!

      • I teach 4th grade, and my school has one of those label thingys. I can’t imagine any parent at my school being cool enough to wear fake glasses for their sign-in pic!

        • That’s hilarious! I was actually wondering if the administrators would tell me not do to it, but I don’t think they had time to stop me. I think they were confused. They turned around and saw me wearing them and it was too late, the picture was being printed. Well, go teachers!! Thanks for stopping by.

  3. You da man! Your daughter will no doubt love it as much as I do!

  4. Oh boy…you’re a fun dad! How did it go over with your daughter?

    • Hey! I think the kids were perplexed at how I could have “beaten a system” like that…to them, it’s a crazy big complicated visitor system…so definitely worth it. She loved it. I realize it won’t last forever and then she’ll probably not want to hang out with me.

      • You must be a hero in her eyes! GO DAD! 🙂 And speaking from daughter experience, there will be a few rough years but then it’ll come full circle. I’m actually going to a happy hour with my dad tonight. I love hanging out with him. 🙂

        • Oh my gosh, that’s incredible, tonight…nice! And happy hour? Double nice. Ok, so I’ll be prepared for a few tough years (that’s going to be hard for me I bet), but just knowing it’ll come around again will be something to keep in the back of my mind. Have fun tonight! That sounds great!
